For the first time HP has introduced its Elitebook that is thinner and lighter than the MacBook Air. Named as the Elitebook Folio 1020 the laptop weights only 2.2 pounds and is 15.7mm thick, while on the other hand MacBook Air weights 2.96 pounds with the measurement of 17mm. But the bad news is that they are not yet available in the market but are expected to launch in stores next year.
Elitebook Folio 1020 can run with, Windows 8.1 Pro, Windows 7 Professional, Ubuntu and FreeDOS.
The Elitebook comes with an Intel® Core M Processor. These processors are meant to get maximum versatility with blazing speed moreover it supports fan less design. The processor has a max turbo frequency of 2.9 GHZ.
Memory and storage
Elitebook Folio 1020 has 8GB LPDDR3 SDRAM 1600 MHz. When it comes to storage you can choose from different options available with the maximum of 256 GB SATA III Self Encrypting Drive Opal 2.
Size and weight
This is the most attractive part of laptop and weights only 2.2 pounds while having size of 15.7mm only. But the weight can vary according to the specifications.
Display & camera
The laptop has a 12.5-inch display, with either 1080p or QHD resolution. The standard edition version of EliteBook Folio 1020 also offers tochScreen. Looks like a device which everyone would love to have. It even has a 720p HD webcam.
Design-wise Folio 1020 is a complete package and comes without the cooling fans due to Intel Core M processor inside. Surprisingly this slim laptop is highly resilient, passing MIL-STD-810G standards for drops, shocks, severe temperatures and other similar roughness tortures.
Pricing details are not available for any of its model but looking at the specifications it going to be pretty costly but nevertheless a laptop you should buy.!
